and i feel myself go limp in your arms
as if someone has taken a knife and cut the nerves
that let me feel
i’m aware of your arm on my back
your hand is cradling my neck
wiping away the hot tears on my cheek
you’re holding me close
when all i want is to be let go
and i think to myself,
this must be what it feels like
to die
