This macro shot has a unique perspective. What did you use to create such a calm color for the backround? It blends very nicely.

Thank you very much :) The background is actually natural, it was a garden-bed full of lavender and these black-eyed susans. The shallow depth of field has just blurred one of the flowers out.

Thank you very much! I’m really glad you enjoyed it :) And yes, I was following him around, actually standing in the garden bed, I’m surprised he didn’t get annoyed with me! I think he was more interested in stuffing his face!

The DOF works well here, just in front of the bee giving quite a soft feel to the whole image!
