Plaza de Toros de Ronda

Plaza de toros de Ronda a.k.a. the Bullring of Ronda.

Ronda is one of the most beautiful little towns I’ve ever seen. In the south of Spain, it is built on a gorge, the old town on one side, the new town on the other. The Puente Nuevo bridge spans the gorge and stands 120m above the canyon floor. (A very impressive sight, I can tell you!)

The bullring was built in 1785 and is one of the oldest operational bullfighting venues in Spain. In fact, I believe it may be one of the last bullrings still hosting fights (although very rarely).

Just a question did you use a polarizer filter, or any other filter to enhance this?
Cause the sky isn’t usually that vibrant :-?

  • Damienne Bingham replied

Nope I didn’t use anything actually, the sky was just unbelievably blue! I think I enhanced the saturation by a couple of points, but not a huge amount. It was just some really amazing colouring in Spain! And I was lucky that it was so clear with no clouds or anything :) Plus it’s a small town so there wasn’t any pollution hanging around.
