    Thank you very much :) I use a Canon EOS 400D and a Canon 50mm macro lens – hoping to upgrade to a 100mm very soon! I’m pushing the 50 way beyond it’s limits!

    I have an Xti with a 60mm. I find when I increase the fstop I get clearer images. Is that tru for you as well?

    Well yes, the larger the f number the greater the depth of field, and so you’ll get a better range of focus. But I pretty much always shoot on f2.5 before I like the shallow dof that it gives :)
