Deconstruction of Literature: Folded by

My good friend Belinda does some amazing artwork where she deconstructs old books and reconstructs the elements into all kinds of beautiful and fascinating designs and objects. Last week was her wedding and we were treated to a special “exhibition” of new work, hung from the church rafters all the way down the aisle.

Interesting angle for composition. Great shot.

Interesting angles make for great photographs, and it seems old books make great art too. Well done, both of you.

  • Thanks, Helen. I tried standing in several different places at several different heights trying to get as much of the art in while still trying to capture the mood of our church’s ceiling AND get the camera straight. Eventually I just said “stuff it” and turned the camera to make everything fit. And I think, in concordance with your comment, the photograph is all the better for it!
