This acrylic painting took such a long time to complete. I took my time because the image was worth it. It is the same size as Sippin’ Grandma and Looking Back. They make a great team. The reds and yellows contrast nicely against the bright blue sky. He/She (I haven’t decided which) is carrying a piece of rebar over one shoulder and squinting into the sun against the smoke.

outdoors, colorful, african, worker, namibian, sunny day, smoking cigar

I am a retired Elementary school teacher(retired in 2003), artist (Painting-Acrylic & Mixed Media), poet, and photographer. I like the challenge of composing and capturing straight out of the camera. Last summer I started Gray’s Photo Tours. The concept is to provide guided photographic tours or Photo classes for visitors of this scenic area and portraits on locations of their choice. My moto is “I specialize in NOT specializing.”

Thanks for your input. Everybody! wants to know “What is She/He smoking?” I don’t know. I assumed it was a skinny cigar?
