Amidst clouds of smoke and haze a soldier of the 75th Ohio volunteer infantry regiment opens fire on the approaching soldiers of the 8th Fl. Co. C. on a rain soaked battlefield. Civil war re-enactors gathered in Fort Pierce Florida USA to portray one of the many skirmishes carried out by northern aggressors raiding small farms and communities along the Indian River. This December docudrama is just one of the many held annually throughout America.

Cool pic Larry this looks so realistic.

Funnily enough even here the American civil war has an emotional aspect attached to it. I grew up reading books like " Red Badge of Courage" movies like “Gone with the Wind” Imagining the ironclad ship in I think North Carolina just at the start of the war ? The Monitor ?. A recent series told only on still pictures I could go on and on.

Awesome reflexes to catch the powder flash, you must have eyes and reflexes like a cat, or did Chucky take the pic hahahh
