The Rodeo In Graphite

Graphite, (soft lead pencil) is such and exciting medium to work in. It allows for the great detail I want in my work, yet allows for the soft and hard shading. I use the white of the board for lighting, but most important, I use the kneaded eraser, (putty like, able to stretch and make thin flat edges), to lift the Graphite back off of the board to get the tiny highlights. I love the look of black and white, yet there are so many shades that the work seems like color.
