Harrisville Rodeo Queensland Australia February 2010.
How cool are these cowboys? While dismounting, this cowboy became tangled in harness, and was being carried upside down in mid air on the side of a fast galloping and bucking horse. So cool as a cucumber, the hand in the photo appears to undo whatever it was that had been caught, and he managed to release himself. The look in the horses eye and the flying tail and mane give the clue to what a fast wild ride it was. I was pretty impressed, but it seems to be all part of the day’s work for these cowboys.

YOIKS – I am glad it’s not me having to be brave and thinking at the same time I’m falling. WONDERFUL Catch!!!

  • Kay thankyou for your wonderful comments. As we like doing our photography, the same is true of the work that the cowboys do; they seem to love it in spite of the danger!…or maybe because of it!!!
