“ His title is,
‘The Word of God’.
Upon his robe and thigh was written this title:
‘King of kings and Lord of lords.’”
Revelation 19:13, 16
Yes, Jesus is King. Is He your King?
When on Earth,
King Jesus Christ warned,
“ Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, cast out demons in your name, and performed many powerful works in your name?’ ” And then I will declare to them,
‘I never knew you;
get away from Me,
you who practice lawlessness!’ ”
Did Jesus say a few will perform powerful works in His Name and that they should get away from Him? No, He said ‘many’. It is hard to comprehend that ‘many’ would have a faith in Jesus so strong that they were able to perform powerful works in His Name, and yet Jesus says ‘Get away from me, I never knew you, you workers of lawlessness’.
Let’s consider some of the Kings Laws. Then we can ask ourselves; Are we living within His Laws or are we lawless?
I am giving you a new commandment:
Love one another as I have loved you. John 13:34
World War I and World War II were both started by peoples claiming to subjects of King Jesus Christ. On both sides of the conflict the churches had officials out in the battlefield praying; ‘Lord Jesus bless our guns to kill our enemies’. And their enemies prayed; ‘Lord Jesus bless our guns to kill our enemies’. What madness!
Were their prayers in harmony with the Kings Law, or were they practicing lawlessness?
King Jesus Christ commands: ‘You have heard that it was said; “You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemies.” But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you’. Matthew 5:43,44
‘Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either. Give to everyone who asks of you, and whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back’. Luke 6:29,30
All these ‘christians’ were fighting for their country. Were they obeying the Kings command: ‘Whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back’. Or were they lawless to King Jesus Christ’s Law?
Were their prayers to Jesus to bless their guns answered and by whom?
‘You seek to kill me, a man who told you the truth. You are of your father the Devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. That one was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him’. John 8:40,44
‘Blessed are the peace makers, for they shall be called children of God’. Matthew 5:9
‘God is not partial, in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him’. Acts 10:35
From all nations and religions conscientious objectors obeyed the King’s command; ‘Put your sword back in its place, for all who draw the sword will die by the sword’. Matthew 26:52
Re-read John 8:44 (see middle column). Note the two attributes that stand out in Satan the Devil. He is a murderer and a liar.
‘For this I came into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone that is of the truth listens to me’. John 18:37
‘Let your ‘Yes’ mean ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ mean ‘No’; anything more than this is from the Evil one’. Matthew 5:37
Do we obey the King Jesus Christ in this matter, or do we think some lies are OK? Popular christianity encourages the later. Each year it holds a festival at which adherents falsely claim a fictitious character to be real. The King says anything more than yes meaning yes is from the Evil one. Do you believe His words and act in harmony with them or do you listen to arguments that claim it is alright to tell white lies?
King Jesus Christ commands:
‘You are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect’. Matthew 5:48
Jesus says, ‘Your Word is truth’. John 17:17
God’s Word says:
‘It is impossible for God to Lie’ Hebrews 6:18
The aforementioned fictitious character also encourages lawlessness towards King Jesus Christ in at least two other matters.
‘Having food and covering be content’
1 Timothy 6:8 and Matthew 6:25-32
Santa says,’Hey forget all that Jesus’ stuff, WHAT DO YOU WANT?’
‘Satan (resister) turns himself into an angel of light.’ 2 Corinthians 11:14
‘Do not store up treasure on earth, but store up treasure in heaven.’ commands King Jesus Christ. Matthew 6:19,20
When xmas is over have you obeyed the Kings command or have you been lawless?
“ Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, cast out demons in your name, and performed many powerful works in your name?’ ” And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; get away from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ ” Matthew 7:22,23
Or will you hear ………..
‘The King shall say to those on His right, ‘Come you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the Kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world’. Matthew 25:34
‘Fear God. Honor the king.’ 1 Peter 2:17
