The famous frontal of York Minster in fine HDR. As with all my HDR images, fine details such as people are painted back in from one single image to create a more photorealistic image. York Minster is one the largest gothic cathedrals in Europe. The present cathedral was begun in 1230, but the site had been used for religeous buildings since 627. Trips to the roof are arduous, but give a great view of the surrounding vale of York.
