T-shirt Tutorial

I’m pretty sure I saw a t-shirt tutorial somewhere on RB, but enough people have been saying they don’t know how to do it that I thought I would write an in-depth tutorial using both text and screenshots to explain the process, along with how to use RedBubble’s t-shirt template. It will be written mainly for those who are inexperienced in using photoshop, or who have used photoshop (or photoshop-type programs) but who don’t understand the layers functions.

To use the tutorial you will require either Adobe Photoshop Elements, Adobe Photoshop (versions: (possible version 7 will work for this) CS, CS2 or CS3) – it doesn’t look as though you can get a free trial of Elements, but you can download a free trial of Photoshop CS3 to try, or go to the Corel website and download a copy of their Paint Shop Pro X2 or if you want to try a freeware that’s considered pretty good you go HERE and download GIMP

Gimp will work for this tutorial, but the name of the tools and possibly their shapes and locations will be slightly different, so you’ll have to hunt for them.

The t-shirt tutorial should be posted sometime tomorrow (Monday) on Photography Blography

Properly detailed instructions are too lengthy to put in a journa entry, hence the pdf format of the tutorial – besides, for many new users illustrations of the steps make things a lot easier, and I can include those in a pdf tutorial.
