Blue Jay (Painting)
And older piece of work from 2007. A bluejay on the deck rail of a friend’s backyard deck. They feed this bird peanuts, right from the hand, and often in the shell. He flies away, breaks the shell (leaves the litter too) and returns for another until he’s full.
(This is a painted image, done in photoshop, mostly by brushes and creative layering, but no photoshop filters.)

Beautiful work Gracy!!! Our bluejays are too skittereish to eat from our hands! Maybe that’ll be a project for this summer! :)
