Eruption (Painting)

The furies of hell, erupting on an unsuspecting world…or something like that. I suppose it may say there’s some darkness in everyone.

This image took me…months. I suppose because it’s so unlike my normal work, and it wasn’t something I really wanted to do. Unfortunately, this is one of those things that wouldn’t leave me alone til it was completed. For me, it’s an uncertain image…the what’s and why’s of it elude me.

Thanks – it’s a weird one for me, but I feel a little less dark having gotten it out :)
