A stormy Amazonian day ends with a beautiful sunset.
Finally able to get out with the camera again after lots of rain and loads of mosquitoes over the last couple of months. Add to that an outbreak of dengue fever in town and opportunities to be out taking photos have been few and far between.
Photograph taken at Tapacaré, Laguna (lake) Suárez, about 4km from Trinidad, the capital of the Beni region of Bolivia.
Nikon D5000 with Sigma 10-20mm lens @ 13mm, CPL, B&W ND 10, ND4 grad, 6 sec
tripod, cable release, 2 bracketed images (0, +2), tone mapping in Photomatix, additional editing in PS Elements 8
It’s a real jaw-dropper, and lucky you for getting to see it in person.
Yes, it was a joy just to sit and watch this beautiful sunset. I was the only person there as well…no noise, not even mosquitoes, to distract from the moment.
Many thanks for your very kind and encouraging words – much appreciated
