same old fudge im afraid, does depend on how you intend to use it, I use a canon EOS5D, its full frame digital, and a great camera to work with, lot of people seem to think the EOS40D is very worthy too or the Nikon D60

  • thanks for your help!

Hmm. Great cameras coming out all time.
After you’ve saved for your camera and get it home……..a new one is released lol.
It’s a bit like chasing your tail, just keeps going ‘round in circles.
But, we have to bite the bullet at some point, so my advise would be to get the best camera you can afford that suits how you will use it.
And, spend the big bucks on glass, they will last you for the rest of your photographic life in most cases. You will most likely go through many cameras in the future, buying good glass from the beginning means you will only have to outlay your money once for these items.
I’ve been through the camera buying mill more than once.
    My 1st DSLR – Canon 10D
    2nd – Canon 30D
    3rd – Canon 5D
and will most likely get the next incarnation of this camera, relegating the previous one as back-up for my wedding work.
    My lens’s are
    Canon 50/1.8
    Canon 28-135/IS
    Canon 17-40L/4
    Canon 24-70L/2.8
    Canon 70-200L/2.8 IS

I expect the last 3 to last me the rest of my life, the other two are a dime a dozen.

    Good luck
