An amazing image. This takes me back to my childhood. Not that I still don’t like running footloose and fancy free barefoot through the fields now of course! Kind regards, Julie.

  • Grace Hamill replied

Thanks so much, im glad that you like it! its great that you can relate to that child-like, carefree feel that i was trying to get across! :)

Most definitely. It still gives me a great sense of freedom to do the very same now as an adult, as I did as a child. The feelings you feel are still the same, no matter that time still goes on. I have vivid recollections of running through the fields near to my Nana’s house, her various dogs at my heels. I would have a wonderful time, just me and the dog at one with nature. I would have a lovely tea waiting for me on my return. The dog always had to be bathed first though. What states we would end up in! I love to do the same things with my little girl now. We disappear down the beach or through the woods and fields for hours on end with our dogs. It’s the simple things in life that don’t cost you any money that bring you the greatest pleasure. I think it’s all to easy to be caught up in the rat race these days. You should always appreciate the earth beneath your feet and the sand and sea between your toes! I have enjoyed looking at your images. For such a young girl, I think you are a super photographer. Keep up the good work. Best wishes, Julie.

  • Grace Hamill replied

wow! thanks so much Julie! i am actually doing a personal interest project for my HSC on optimism and happiness, i definately agree that it is the simple things in life that make you happy! the feedback and support is much appreciated! your work is wonderful too :)
