A hand designed and painted checkerboard, complete with the twists. I modified the texture and color in PhotoShop. I have an entire book of these twisted boards, that I call Nickel and Dime Checkerboards. You can play a team of nickels against a team of dimes. The grids are not perfect as it is my concept that this makes the game more interesting.
Love it! Try this one: Out of the Blue. It would be fun to play on. Make it up as a scarf, then whip it off if you get bored, and play all kinds of games on it! LoL – stranger things have become fads!

Congrats on the home feature page! I love checkerboard. I did a piece as well but manipulated it freehand. Check it out. It is called “To The Core”.
