Oil on paper. Stray cat that I took care for a while until she disappeared. This animal befriended me while I was living in a very rough part of the mexican ghetto of New Brunswick, New Jersey. I had a big garden full of flowers and soon many other cats loved it and used my garden as a refuge from the summer heat. This was the first succesful painting of a cat I had done, where I was trying to emulate Van Gogh’s rendition of animal hair. It was the beginning of other similar succesful paintings
