View of the Estey Barn in Tully, NY.The threshing door long since gone it’s absence provides a window to the view on the far side of the barn. Most barns in this area have a North/South orientation so that the prevailing wind directions could be utilized for the threshing of grain. The entire plant was threshed then forked into the air.On a windy day the chaff was blown out the door and the grain fell to the floor.
