The Unicorn Trap
He waited.
Tended to the sweet timothy hay he used as bait.
It’s scent filled the air.
He thought he had caught one years ago.
Turned out to be a horse.A fine horse, but a horse nonetheless.
He came here more often now,for he had recently seen a beautiful white Unicorn.
Quite unexpected it was-on the way home from the store one night.Right there-galloping alongside the car.
A beautiful and rare beast to be sure.
So he tended the Unicorn trap as often as he could these days.
He had seen sign.Tracks.
Even heard the beautiful white beast a few times in the nearby wood.
So he waited.
