wonderful image – rather disturbing – feels really claustraphobic and makes you just want to get out – i imagine this dereliction is rather symbolic of how people felt when they were locked up in there.

I see!!! it now Glenn, what a building this must have been, (I’m quite envious) looks to me that the windows give a tantalizing glimpse of escape, the normal world – - more than a picture, – excellent.

I was rather struck with this particular building-though nothing spectacular about it design wise the light and decay were just splendid.A pleausure to photograph.Thank you for the compliment…........

Very desolate, you can almost feel spirits moving about in this piece. Nice lighting and the angle gives it a quality of sadness and ominous. Great work

Hi, I just stumbled across this disturbing, enigmatically beautiful photo. In this composition, the institutional green walls create a proscenium frame around the barred window. Chilling, even ghoulish, chiaroscuro in this piece. Much enjoyed.

  • IntriCate

Love it, I don’t find it really all that disturbing the light and colours are beautiful. The glimpse of what looks like greenery ( a tree? but perhaps not) at the window, and the light there, show life in an otherwise decayed setting.
