What an adorable kitty. That face is just so sweet looking.

Thank you for sharing it with us.

  • gottheshot replied

    Hi Cheri, Thanks Cheri.
I took just loads of this fella. My camera was just ‘all singing and all dancing’ that day. The photos – inside a house with dim lighting – and just a pop up flash. The shots were soooo 3D – I nearly fell off my chair when I viewed them. I think I have one more of the little cat to post today and then I will have a look through for some more :D

    Katerina Willi...

What a GREAT shot!!! I nearly fell off my chair with laughter at your kitties expression…very kool, he/she looks like a very lovable little friend to have…

  • gottheshot replied

Hi Katerina, He actually lives in a place that could only be in Japan.
Its a section of a zoo, its not a cage, its a full sized house. In the house – in the zoo – live 20 cats and the zoo staff that look after them. They have a log fire, sofas to sit on, window sills to sit on to look out at the zoo and they have general public paying £5.00 to come and see them and sit with them on the sofa and treat them as if they are the owner for a while and then go home. Its quirky, its sweet, and it was totally relaxing and fun. My friend here loved his photo being taken, didnt mind the flash and had great colours and greenest eyes I have ever seen.

    MichelleR

This is a great shot. i love the expression on his face and the title works perfectly with his image. Well done.

  • gottheshot replied

Hi Michelle, Thank you. When thinking of a title he (the cat) looked like someone had just told him to do something or said something to him and then he just ‘gave this face’ in reply. It was great fun photographing him and even better when I saw the results on my computer :o)

    kaotic-shell

Oh he looks a bit like bagpuss :) beautiful picture

  • gottheshot replied

    Thank you.
I just wanted to take him home with me – he was soooooooooo cute.
Yes, he was a bagpuss kinda face :o) He had a real good life in a open plan zoo – in Japan. Where he lived was a house with about 10 other cats and one girl looked after them all – siamese, persian, egyptian mau, oriental shorthair and many others.
He didnt seem to mind having his photo taken with the flash too.

  • kaotic-shell

    kaotic-shell

    awww bless him :)

  • gottheshot replied

He’s happy with his friends. If you saw the place it would make you smile. You pay 600Yen about a couple of pounds or dollars and you go upstairs to see the 10 cats milling about. They sit on sofas and jump up on the staff members desk and jump on her back and sit there and they sit on the window sill looking outside and the white persian is very friendly to everyone and sits with strangers and gets tickles under the chin and is very happy there.

  • SKNickel

    SKNickel

    What a face!

  • gottheshot replied

Hi SK, He’s great isn’t he. He is like ‘king of the castle’ – ‘king of all he surveys’. A great little character, not mine – wish he was.
    Kind regards and thank you.

  • Carol Clifford

    Carol Clifford

This is such a cool photo! Love the look on his face. Congrats. on being featured.

  • gottheshot replied

    Hi Carol
Thank you. He did have a ‘classic’ expression.
One of the best animal photos of my trip to Japan. He just sat there as my flashgun went off and the exposure – considering the shot was inside a house – I was ‘over the moon’ happy.

  • Eva Andréasson

    Eva Andréasson

So… is this that famous cat photo? Well…... it’s not THAT bad ;D Very nice photo of this cat. I especially like the eye :D All though not my favourite kind of cat, he IS cute :D All I can say is – Congratulations on your features and “stuff”!
Take care Paul and have a lovely evening. Best wishes, Eva (co-host Pets Are Us) :D

  • gottheshot replied

Hi Eva, He is kinda famous now with about 5 or 6 features and top tens and stuff. No, I do like the shot too, cos the camera had captured so much texture and detail of his coat and character in his face. He’s a lovable rogue and I wish I owned him – he was great !!
Friday evening with Chinese meal this week – now there’s a
    lovely evening !! Regards.
