The vaults of St. Gervais taken during a recent research trip to France. Taken with a Canon XSi and Canon 10-22mm lens: f/11, 2.5 second exposure, ISO 100, 10mm focal length.
This is a Late Gothic church built in Paris in the 16th century. It was completed in the Flamboyant style during a time when other structures in France were starting to be built in the Renaissance style. The elaborate vaulting is somewhat unusual for French Gothic but was more common during the Flamboyant period.
