Waving.
I saw some people waving at passengers on a train.
They waved back.
I thought,
That looks like a good idea
I waved at people on the train
They didn’t wave back.
I don’t think my fellow travellers understood the concept.

Have you ever had that experience where someone waves at you, so you give them a big friendly wave back and then realise they are waving to the person behind you and you then have to try foolishly to disguise your wave as some sort of nervous tic? :)) I have :))
I know that feeling perfectly.
