The picture shows a recent demo piece for portrait painting in oil.

It is based on a celeb pic of Aussie actress Stephanie Jacobsen. I’ve added some embellishments and a few compositional tricks to hint at the intensity she brings to her roles. I was very impressed with the emotion she brought to her role in Battlestar ‘Razor’, I hope you enjoy it.

Traditional oil on board, painted from reference with some artistic licence, as a demonstration portrait piece.. and for the pure enjoyment of painting !
