Im exploring new painting technique with the move to a digital process.
So this is kind of stepping stone to more complex illustrations with a film-noir ethos… preserving the kind of psychological intensity that seems to be representative of my work.

For the curious, this was painted in Photoshop using a Wacom tablet.
I paint in layers just as if I was using oil paint, as I want to retain all of the same thought processes.
Its obviously a painting, if you look close… not photorealism.
