you’re the
prettiest
girl in your class

when you’re older

bouquet will

and hopefully
you’ll still
point and smile and say
“hey, that’s my
big sister”
and you won’t be ashamed
to understand
that i’m not
really yours
and i don’t
want you to be
mad at me
for being
jealous
of everything
you
have
because i know
beyond a
shadow of a doubt
that i would do
anything
and then some
if you needed me to
because that’s
what big sisters are
for.
