Allium Triquetum

Nice to look at but the aroma leaves a bit to be desired.

what plant is this????

OK, so your all onto this one. Prehaps I should have asked for the common name for this.

It is in fact “Allium Triquetum” which is a member of the Liliaceae family (or as you all got, Lily family). This photo was taken in New Zealand although the plant origins are SW Europe and North Africa…

By the way the common name for it is Onion Weed, and it sure does smell like onions (also known as Three Cornered Garlic)

Allium Triquetum belongs to the following groups:

Sure is BEAUTIFUL Andrew…........looks like a Lilly to me, but HEY! What do I know? Lovely lighting and colour…........love how you captured the bright light in the background and not in the entire shot…......Cheers, Rose :))

Thanks for the kind comment my friend, and yes it is a member of the Lily family. This one is commonly known as Onion Weed, it gets its name from the aroma.
