M.Mus talk
I am down to give a talk at the Sydney Conservatorium on my M.Mus (Composition) work.
Date: Wednesday 14th March.
Time: 12 noon – 1 pm.
Place: Recital Hall East, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Macquarie St., Sydney.
I will talk about my “generative” art, where I write a computer program which generates the artwork, and play some pieces. Anyone interested is welcome.

I wish I could be there as I would like to learn more about the art itself which is fascinating.

Gordon, do you create your pieces with processing ?
Gordon Monro
I’ve put up quantities of information at www.gommog.com – probably too much!
No, I haven’t used the processing environment , though I’m aware of it, and if I were starting out now I would certainly look at it seriously. Processing is based on Java, and I cut my teeth on C and relatives. Currently I am programming on Mac OS X and I use Objective-C+, which is a weird hybrid between Objective-C and C+. It seems to work, though.
