New exhibition "Difference Engine" in Ballarat

I have an exhibition in Ballarat in May, showing work under the title “Difference Engine”. The works consist of small patterns that have been evolved in the computer to be different from one another. They are mostly digital prints, but the computer program that carries out the evolutionary process will be there as well.

I haven’t been here for a while… But I’m back and I have a small exhibition coming up in Ballarat.

Massive group exhibition at Trocadero Art Space

There is to be a massive group exhibition, “Wallpaper 08”, at Trocadero Art Space. For me this is a follow-on from my exhibition there in August, as I will be showing some new high-resolution prints generated by the program I wrote for Cloud Drum.

I have an exhibition opening in Melbourne on 2nd August 2008.

Where: Trocadero Art Space, Level 1, 119 Hopkins St, Footscray
When: Opening Saturday August 2nd, 4pm – 6pm
Exhibition runs 30th July – 16th August.
Gallery hours: Wed – Sat 11am – 5pm

Trip to Brisbane, gig

Visual Music marathon

My abstract video Dissonant Particles has been selected for a Visual Music marathon held in Boston on 28th April.

It appears that Visual Music is a term applied to abstract films which try to do in the visual realm what so-called absolute music does in sound (“absolute music” is music without words or dance and supposedly without reference to extra-musical ideas).
