Artist's Description

Inspired by the huge mess happening in the gulf I created this image out of my own images for a contest at PXLeyes.com. You had to combine nature and industrial to create something unified.

I was a bit suprised when a fellow member got very defensive and tried to blame the left for the oil spill. It was more surreal then the piece. (the left were the ones who wanted to no drilling at all because they new this was a very huge possiblity. One of the main reasons the Atlantic coast has always been against drilling.)

The member kinda shut up after I mentioned the secret meetings the oil companies had with Dick Cheney during his Vice Presidency.. when all the safe guards were chucked out and then just simply left up to the oil companies to manage themselves. I’m all for a free market.. I am NOT in favor of companies regulating themselves.

I remember the tar balls on the beach in the late 80’s and what a big stink they caused. This will be much much much worse…
