Sources and Contest Entry

Uncle “Poo Poo” had an affinity for hats, and left this one to his Sweetly Evil Niece who had a strange addiction to Turkish Delights.

(FYI) a Turkish Delight is what a snot would taste like if you could make it into candy. Seriously. just about the most god-awful-liest stuff in the universe. (Oh I’m sure there are some peeps who like it, but I’d rather they serve me the stuff they scrape off the back burners of a greasy spoon diner’s burger grill then munch on a Turkish Delight) The Rose Water flavored ones are the WORST!!!

I really tried to enjoyed the Narnia Books when I was a kid. I only really read the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and started the Caspian adventures but I really couldn’t get into them. I think it was all my Catholic upbringing and I really didn’t want something I read on my leisure to be so preachy. (Aslan really had all the characteristics of Jesus and when “Santa” showed up giving gifts of “Weapons” that really blew my mind.

I did love the story of Jadis, the White Witch (Queen). She really was a cool monster and I always enjoyed researching her back ground later in life. I made up this creation in honor of her. (Not to mention I’m a HUGE Tilda Swinton fan :) )

Wow! Gross story, but an interesting creation.

  • Turkish Delights are not my cup of tea, but I can see how the silky sweetness could make some people enjoy them, Like Jelly Beans, my mother LOVED THEM and I couldn’t eat more then one without getting ill :)
