will you be prepared to frolic once again
in the warm heavy dropped rain
with the thunder cracking and echoing around the hills
and the lightning strafing.
Will you lay on the grass
while the bullets of heaven
splash heavily on your downy chest hair
and work their way miraculously
towards the corners of your parched mouth.
Will you cast off the skin
of your half lived, half imagined life
and finally embrace the specter of uncertainty
that now presents itself to you
as your only real friend.
Will you stay, I wonder
or has the moment passed.

Wonderful writing Rex….posing a pertinent question indeed. Do you let go of what holds us back that may of been a rich dream that now is more an irritation in our mind….one we seem to scratch at.
And is the moment to take courage and grab a new ideal lost?? I am imagining a merry-go-round and there will be more chances coming around again…not sure how fast or slow it is moving though….:)

this is so easy to read, yet is weighted down with heavy words of wonder and difficult questions. I think that that is what makes this flow and work so beautifully

thank you math-ilda, that is a very kind observation. I do like the uncluttered, yet multi layered work of carver, collins etc who have mastered this effect.
