I can’t believe I haven’t looked at this yet, it’s superb.
The connection between the brick and the figure is so obvious yet it’s not cliched, it’s very sincere. Here are two fully formed, potentially useful structures, but both without a place and not being used for anything worthwhile and there’s a profound sadness in that. If I had the money (or any money… lol) this painting would be mine.
The yellows and greens are such a gentle, nice touch here, and the blacks and greys for the two main characters are so appropriate.

you have such a wide range of subject matters, from the everyday to the lighthearted, to the very dark, this reminds me of a Goya etching, great piece….you really are a astute observer of life…well done
