Excellent shot! Great composition and perspective.
May I ask what’s going on here?
Gordon MacK
I was walking around the city taking photos :D

:p
Why is this building in a cage?
Gordon MacK
It is Melbourne Central shopping mall. The building is an old shot tower that was given National Heritage Accreditation which means they cant change it or knock it down, so they just built the mall around it. :P
Ian Porter
what a weird building!
solarrain

Great composition

Great shot and vantage point. I like the contrast of brick vs glass, but also how the shadows off the metalwork ‘continue’ onto the brickwork
bites

It’s not up to me to say, what a great piece of work u have here?
You took the photo, and stuck it up on this site 4 one reason and that’s to make Money, so u must think it’s worth it?
So ill tell u if I can, u my friend are a really good “artist”……. and u don’t have to pay me 1 cent for my comment.
So you can keep all the money you make on this really good photo u took, because you deserve it, well-done and excellent-work………!
Gordon MacK replied
That was rather odd… but thankyou, i think.
PS. I am not here to make money, I have a job for that.

This is a great photo! I love this building, it brings back memories of Christmas shopping when i was a kid. It captures the feeling of Melbourne Central just like i remeber it as a kid. (Funny how as adults we stop seeing the world look so amazing, and things become the norm) I love the light. Cheers
hollys1wedding
wow what an angle love the shot almost makes me dizzy
Micky McGuinness
Great picture of a great building. Shot towers are funny things really; built solely for the purpose of dripping molten lead from a great height!
Carla Adams
I have been to melbourne many times and have never managed to see this during the day… woah!
Azzurra
