A Grecian Goddess of the sea.
She is the Goddess of love, beauty, sensuality. The phrase “goddess of love” in Sanskrit translates as ‘she who has a fish as her emblem.’ One vision of her is mounted on a dolphin. She carries a casket representing life, death and rebirth. According to one belief, dolphins carried the souls of dead to the Underworld. She like Venus was born of the sea. She is associated with all the creatures of the sea. She represents the sea which is life giving and She is seen as hope. She is the Goddess of both physical and spiritual love.
