Thanks….I walked around to the rear and there were an additional 5 firefighters there. The situation looked pretty bad and being a weatherboard house and in poor condition I wouldn’t have thought it was salvageable :(

Varinia, you SO nailed the composition on this. Those firemen looking up at the daunting task before them with that wicked smoke billowing out of the poor house in distress… this is photojournalism at its very best and I am jealous!
