    Varinia, how is it that every place you photograph makes me want to be there? You have a knack of bringing out all that is romantic in every shot.

    What makes this so special for me is that you split the scene right across the center and let the lower half skip between reflection of the top half and the foreground… which gives it an almost abstract symmetry that somehow enhances its natural beauty. If I lean back and squint, it becomes almost anything I fancy…
    OK, I’ll lay off the drugs.
    Amazing work!

    This impresses me in terms of the the care taken with its creation. A setting that, shot off the hip, would probably look like a snapshot, and a boring one at that. For a start, it doesn’t look like you were standing upright, but I may be wrong. Anyway, the placement of the horizon in the centre hasn’t buggered up the angle of the reflection, and the compo from left to right is a nice flow, both foreground and background. Nicely done!

    Debated whether I’d post this one actually and was surprised at it’s popularity. Wanted to shoot in this area basically because after returning to SA and not seeing anything green was nice to see an oasis in the middle of drought conditions.
    This was the scene a few minutes up the road –
    Am never upright when I shoot lol, hence many muddy patches on my rear and a major dry-cleaning bill. Thanks so much for your comment, always appreciated Peter :-))
