    The gallic black dogs wander their amless path.
    In the distance, I see a gown sway side to side,.
    In the foggy gloom as Lady Guenivere,
    Her tresses, untied against the cold evening air,
    Wanders the stone walk, alone in her thoughts.
    Might I chance to find my knight about?
    Or doth he seek the warmer rooms,
    Companionship and talk of the men?
    Will his thoughts turn to his lass,
    Or dull with the post supper air?

    Where am I to cast my imagination?
    Here upon this cold hard wall,
    Or below amidst the chatter of my people
    Here, hoping Lancelot with happen by,
    Or the warmth of happy rooms.
