Superb composition, with thirds both horizontally and vertically! The balance is spot-on, and the foreground valley and trees just invite the viewer’s eye to slowly wander up the Merced Valley toward Half Dome. Re Half Dome: Yes I was fit! I did it as a side trip whilst on the John Muir Trail. I went uo Half Dome first thing in the morning and finished in Yosemite Valley that day.

This is my favorite view overlooking Yosemite and you captured it brilliantly. Spot on colors, light and comp. If one stops to consider how many thousands of images are taken on this spot each day but only few, and this photo among them, bring forth the grander of the place in a precise and well executed image, than one must give all the kudus to said artist. well done.

I don’t know if I already said ..amazing ..but it’s just magnificent!

After comparing_One Perfect Day_ to Heavenly View, there is no question that, for me, this one (Heavenly View) has much more impact. The latter really reflects why so many have felt a strong connection to this beautiful park. My personal connection has endured for almost 40 years. I have viewed hundreds of Yosemite photos, and this one unquestionably tops that list.

Wish I was the photographer you are. Your eye is excellent, as is your graphic technique.

Also found your Yosemite Falls to be superb. I’ve climbed up into the spray of that fall and have enjoyed the view greatly. Your image strongly evoked those memories.
