Yes, I take photographers over Horseshoe Bend and Lake Powell at least once a year, doors off, in the helicopter. It’s a tricky spot because of the light. Too early or late in the day and the shadows are very deep. But midday, the whole thing can look pretty flat. I think you did a great job. Late afternoon, right? Keeping the sun out of the shot got the exposure just right.

I’m starting to think you did the same trip as we did many years ago, but boy, did you capture those places! Kudos.

Love the wide, but not distorted view. Was this between 10 and 12 mm focal length? I have heard that is necessary for this rim shot to get it all in. I hope to have that lens on my trip there.
