I've got my eyes on you!

This is one of my Guinea Pigs.
He’s a sweet little fellow, and lives together with my other Guinea Pig and four rabbits. For some days I’ve noticed this one is getting slimmer.. so that’s not good.. so I decided to give them all more food than usual, but the other’s were gaining weight and this one wasn’t.. so today I took him on my lap and tried to feed him extra, without the others getting the chance to take away his food.

And in the beginning when he was on my lap he looked very scared, his eyes wide open and not wanting to take food from my hand… after a while he became calmer and was eating…
But then he got scared again from some noise he heared… this photo is taken when he was scared… and he looked at me like he was saying: “Get me outta here.. I’m scared woman!”

so I cuddled him and then put him back with his friends :)

thanks to all who have supported me during this hard time.. unfortunately this little dude lost his battle and went off to guinea-heaven… I put an update in my RB journal

    He is so precious! My daughter had several guinea pigs as pets we enjoyed. They were very sociable and would squeal when we came into the room. The first two she had, Choco & Skooter were buddies, and would talk to us and even purr when we petted them. A friend came over with her dog and he killed them. It was sooooo sad. Another one we had up until she she graduated from high school, and he was the same. So very sweet and engaging.

    yes, our guinea pigs are very vocal as well :) but I like that.. it’s fun.. :)

    When i saw this photo I had to blut this comment out. I use to have a Gini pig name piglet, who looked just like the one in this photo. It make me want to giver the picture a big hug. She was the only pet i ever had outside Gupies and Gold fish. I would love to have pets, but i am poor, and they would poubly starve to death, or i proubly end up eating them for dinner, and then i would end up in jail because the humane society would have me arrested for cruelty to animals.

    this little dude is one of the many pets I have and they all mean a lot to me. Sorry to hear that you can’t maintain pets because of money-issues… Hope you will be doing better soon so you can pets again and enjoy their company!

    I love this photo too! took me about five tries to get it just right, ‘cause they tend to move a lot.

    oh my god! you’re so lucky to have guinea pigs! i’m kind of obssessed with them. they are wonderful littlel creatures, but i can’t have any because of my dogs….what a fantastic image. well done! more guinea pigtures please!!! : D

    ooh, yes dogs aren’t their best friends, although some weird friendships can be created when the animals are used to eachother from baby on…

    don’t worry about it Michelle… we know we did everything we could and we know he had his good moments.. but I think it was for the best to let him go so he wouldn’t suffer anymore..
    I miss him, and when I go to feed the rabbits and the other guinea pig, I still think of this little dude…

    yes, they do make wonderful pets… always busy looking for food and socialising with the rabbits…
    Unfortunately the one you see in the photo here, has took off to the afterlife… he’s now watching over me and mine….
