A New Aesthetic.... Divine and OtherwiseI looked out of the train window today, the sun was on my shoulder and it felt warm. Between the tunnels my eyes without sunglasses were forced to shut, the glare so bright.
I looked down and saw a man in Wooloomooloo sticking his fingers up at the train. I thought to myself, is it the train that offends him or the passengers on the train. It seems that Wooloomooloo brings out the madness in people.
Just last week i saw a man strip and plunge into the water off the finger wharf to the applause of pub patrons. Although i sat and watched many people saw more entertainment in the act than myself.
I thought what is wrong with this guy as he enjoyed the crowds applause and jumped into the water naked two more times. He then walked away in an abusive state, swearing and stubbling towards the park.
What made him jump and curse what was a beautiful afternoon in a postcode of wealth and council housing, I guess I will never know and if I did know why, would I even care?
