This photo was taken near the Ozarks. There was also a big black bull in the group of cattle in the image, so I was on the look-out for him. He wasn’t happy with my presence. There I was standing among the cow pies and swarming mosquitos, behind a small barb wire fence, loudly “mooing” to try to get the cows to look at me. The only one who lifted her head is the one in the photo. The others just ignored me, grazing away on their afternoon snack. Meanwhile, my mom is sitting in the air conditioned car watching and waiting for me to finish up. I think she was laughing at me, especially when I discovered I’d lost my prized sunglasses in the field somewhere and then had a few choice colorful words come out of my mouth as a result. But at least I got a good picture!
