My first camera was an Argus C3 given to me by my Uncle. Became interested and over the intervening years I have done photography and stopped, only to start again. Have begun again in the last 4 years with Canon Digital Point and Shoots. I have no training in the arts or photography. I have read some of Ansel Adam’s series, never finished.. I have learned a lot from seeing the fantastic images here.

yes – they are commonly called "dancing lady orchid "!

  • I will happily take your word for it as I don’t really have a clue much about orchids. Other than they are gorgeous in most cases. Take care!

a great close up of these oncidium orchids, also called “dancing ladies”

  • Fred, hello! Thanks for the taxonomic IIRC name, Oncidium. I know they are a pain to image for me. Personal problem? I see the dancing lady part, cool, and thanks for the kind remark!
