My first camera was an Argus C3 given to me by my Uncle. Became interested and over the intervening years I have done photography and stopped, only to start again. Have begun again in the last 4 years with Canon Digital Point and Shoots. I have no training in the arts or photography. I have read some of Ansel Adam’s series, never finished.. I have learned a lot from seeing the fantastic images here.

we both have black and white on our minds my dear friend, I just think that sometimes,, depending on the subject or setting black and white really does say it all,, maybe that comes from growing up with black and white photos and tv for so long.. heck did not even know when Dorothy landed in the land of the munchins,, that it was in color. teehee.. so this my friend is very pleasing to my eyes..leaves me wondering what lies beyond those hills,, peace and love linmarie♥
Hey friend, you may be right!! I fell for that one also. Sepia is also very nice, but it doesn’t express like B&W to me. Guess I’m stuck and I don’t care. This is a redo suggested by the Critiques Forum. Finally got around to doing it. Oh the editing was done by fellow member Larry Manderson. I couldn’t make it as good as he did. But still the cropping accentuated it more, IMO! Thank Dear girl and of course P&L!

I’m sorry you felt you made a mistake, I feel it was the best thing for me to leave, PA is my home.
PA is great also. A bit too cold for me, but South Florida is just hot, hurricanes and no markable seasons!
I say that in the best way! It is lovely also, in it’s way!!
