A void of emotion by GlennC

Currently unavailable for purchase

Looking down Lamberis pass in Wales. I was with two close friends, feeling the weather. This place has very fond memories for me, a place I have retreated to and found solace. I was first introduced to the area with the first UK ironman and spent many hours alone training in these hills.

Made with my trusty Canon 5D, fl 17mm and very wet clothing from lying on the sodden grass!

PS. Well worth the wet clothes, I reckon ;)

  • Mieke, that is very kind….. the valley has a real sense of history/feeling when you stand in it. The weather only enhanced this….. the clothes were very wet, glad you think it was worth it ;-)

Glenn, this is gorgeous. Filling the frame with that tree (a hawthrorn, perchance?) has worked very well, almost forcing the misty background into a very second place.

  • Duncan, i take my hat off to your tree knowledge! When taking this I really wanted to try and fill the void of the valley with the branches and in doing so giving the tree a sense of freedom from the confines of its position?

So beautiful; captivating. Wales is in my soul!

  • Josephine, thank you, I still find it amazing that a wind blasted little tree in a valley can make someone describe it as beautiful! but i agree with you.
