Din Guarie by GlennC

Currently unavailable for purchase

Made during a pleasant afternoon with friends recently. Whilst walking along Ross Links, Northumberland. looking back toward the iconic castle at Bamburgh. The title comes from the original briton fort built prior to the current castle.

used my usual Canon 5D/fl 17mm. 8 min exposure using a B+W 10 stop filter/2 stop Lee ND and a 3 stop Lee grad.

the light is beautiful and the feeling of mystery

  • Kathilee, the Northumberland coast is often blessed with stunning light…… and with the vast amount of historic remains one is always reminded of what when before and seems to add its own mystery!
    Thank you!

Glenn, Another image that gets better the longer you look at it. Particularly like the gental waves through the diagonal. Would also make a great, superminimal square (sort of thing the crop on your main RB homepage creates??)

  • cheers Peter, its funny I thought long and hard about that crop and still may follow your advice ;-)
It was the gentle waves that encouraged me to process this image, hope I can do the print justice!

like a Si-Fi movie opening, a new dawn of Enlightenment is coming, I’m sure you just make this stuff up “Din Guarie” – what to see it & feel the atmosphere.
