Taken on a wild morning at Derwent Water, the English lake district. Friends of mine know how i love to get my feet wet trying to produce an image and this was no expection! to get to the spot to place my tripod down involved a small wade out to this pier which was in itself under water…. six long cold minutes resulted in what you see here.
Shot with my usual Canon 5D, fl 17mm. Also used a 10 stop nd and 3 stop grad.

    Very good indeed, sky contrast is particularly nice. I can see why you didn’t crop to a square with this one, the best part of the sky movement and hill silhouette is on the left side which would be lost if you cropped centrally.
